The Musée de la Mer, Sète, France

This is a small, but interesting and well arranged museum focussing largely on the local fishing boats. There is only one room, in which the construction of the locally used boats is shown on models and drawings in detail. For each type there is a frame-modell, showing the construction details and another giving an impression of the overall appearance. Well-made boards give the necessary explanations. In fact, most boat types have been and to some degree are still in use all the way up from the Valencian coast in Spain to the Côte d'Azur in France.
